One year with the Pyxis 6K 🎥
Hard to believe it’s been a full year since I started shooting with the Pyxis 6K. I’ve put this camera through real work, long days, mixed lighting, fast turnarounds, and projects where reliability actually matters.
Over that time, I’ve learned what the Pyxis does very well, where it shines creatively, and where it asks you to slow down and work the way cameras traditionally were meant to be used. No marketing fluff, just practical experience from living with it on set and in post.
I finally sat down and made a full 1 year review video, breaking down:
- What’s held up over time
- How it fits into real-world workflows
- What surprised me (good and bad)
- Who this camera actually makes sense for in 2026
